Top Funding your graduate education The University of Saskatchewan (USask) has numerous awards, scholarships and bursaries to help fund your graduate education. The College of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (CGPS) alone administers over $14 million in scholarships every year. Funding is made available from a variety of sources, including the Government of Canada, the Government of Saskatchewan and the generosity of our many donors. Funding by departments Master's and PhD students start by speaking with your program's graduate chair or administrator , many entrance awards and scholarship opportunities are department-managed. Minimum funding for PhD students A majority of USask’s PhD programs now offer a guaranteed funding package of $20,000 per year for four years for newly admitted PhD students . This commitment contributes to financial stability, allowing students to focus on research and academic goals.
