About this scholarship

For students who are from, and live in, an African country (you can apply while temporarily living outside Africa for study or work): the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Cambridge funds a full-time master's course at Cambridge — the course fee, a monthly living allowance, a return flight and a laptop.

More

Almost any full-time master's course is eligible, except the Master of Accountancy, the MBA, the Master of Corporate Law and the Master of Finance; the programme's themes are climate resilience and sustainability. You need a bachelor's degree that meets your course's entry requirements and a commitment to giving back to your community, home country or Africa. Apply through the Cambridge course application, opt in for funding and write a scholarship statement; the deadline is your course's funding deadline, early December or early January depending on the course. Women, refugees, internally displaced persons and people with disabilities are particularly encouraged to apply.
