British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM 2026 British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM 2026 Home British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM 2026 Closed for applications PG The Scholarship is fully funded and covers: • Tuition fees • Monthly stipend (up to 12 months) • Return economy-class travel • IELTS exam fee (for scholars without a valid test of English) • Visa and Insurance/ NHS surcharge cost • Child allowance (where applicable) Applications are closed Brunel, in partnership with British Council, is proud to offer five fully funded scholarships for female students from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka as part of the British Council Scholarship for Women in STEM. We are looking for women with a background in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) who can demonstrate their need for financial support and who wish to inspire future generations of women to pursue careers in STEM. This scholarship is only available to full-time international students and will only be paid once for each eligible level of study, subject to meeting progression requirements. See eligible programmes below. Step 2 : To be considered for the scholarship applicants must complete a scholarship application form , applicants will be required to explain why they would be a suitable recipient of the Scholarship. Deadlines: Applications must be submitted by 11:59pm (UK local time) on Thursday, 30 April 2026 . Late applicants cannot be accepted. This is a British Council funded scholarship administered by Brunel University London, as such information contained in the application will be shared with the British Council. Eligibility To be eligible for a British Council Scholarship for Women in STEM an applicant must: Be a woman, as defined under UK legislation. [1] [1] Applicants must be able to confirm their legal sex as female, evidenced by passport or other official documentation. This will be a condition of acceptance.
