Admission Requirements Minor in Sociology Minor in Anthropology Learning Outcome Students enrolled in the sociology program will: Be able to apply sociological theories and concepts to real-world issues and problems, demonstrating their understanding of the social world and its complexities. Develop strong research skills, including the ability to design and conduct their own research projects, analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions. Develop a deep understanding of the ways in which social structures, institutions and systems impact individuals and groups and be able to critically evaluate these systems in terms of their strengths and weaknesses. Develop strong critical thinking and analytical skills, enabling them to identify and evaluate different perspectives on social issues and debates. Be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, about complex sociological concepts and ideas, demonstrating their ability to engage in meaningful dialogue about important social issues.
